Dri Wash 'n Guard® Waterless Car Wash™ won me over as the best auto detailing products from the very first time I saw it work. Prior to that time I was always skeptical about how a car could be washed without water. Certainly the dirt on the surface would scratch the finish. When I saw a demo of the product, I couldn't believe what a great job it did! I was sold immediately and haven't used any other products since.

Dri Wash 'n Guard® is the original waterless car wash product. It has been on the market for 17 years. Many have tried to imitate these fine products, but no one has been able to duplicate it. Their continuous research and development ensures that these products will always be ahead of the competition in innovative vehicle detailing products.

Like me, you are probably wondering how a product is capable of washing, polishing and protecting a vehicle without scratching or damaging the finish. DWG's car wash product contains over 50 ingredients, including their exclusive PolyGuard-3™ formula. It is designed to clean, polish and protect the vehicle surface all in one application.

DWG's car wash products are sprayed onto the surface of the vehicle using a pump applicator in a fine mist. The product immediately begins to break down and emulsify the dirt and contaminants on the finish. The dirt is then suspended in the solution while the solution acts as a lubricant to protect against scratching. Once sprayed on the surface, a terry cloth rag is used until the product hazes over. This is followed by a buffing with another terry cloth or micro fiber towel.

But there is more going on than just cleaning the dirt. As you are cleaning your car the product is also removing old wax build up that can dull the finish. Once the wax is removed the finish is sealed with a polymer glaze to protect the paint from dirt and environmental contamination. There is nothing better for the polymer clear coats than to use a polymer sealant over it. The product also contains a UV protectant to protect the paint from the harmful rays of the sun.

DWG manufactures two car wash products. The original Dri Wash 'n Guard® Classic is great for use on automotive paints prior to 2000. In 2000, automotive paints were reformulated. DWG worked with the paint manufacturers to develop DWG Ultra-Ion™ specifically for these newer paints. The wonderful shine achieved with DWG products is not the only benefit you will gain through its use. Since it only requires one application, you don't have to wash, dry, polish and buff. So it only takes a fraction of the time needed for conventional cleaning or detailing. With DWG, the product does the work so you don't have to apply the elbow grease that other products require. And of course without the use of water you have eliminated the mess, saved time and saved our precious water resources. You also don't have to worry about the environmental hazards that water runoff can cause.

While I use the term waterless car wash, these products can be used on RV's, boats, motorcycles and virtually any non-porous surface with the same great results.
